Full BIO: A Life and Leadership Mentor, Kim Marie is co-founder of Parzival Academy, a unique gap year program for young adults bridging the gap between school and adulthood. Trained as an Ontological Coach with Newfield Network in 2009, Kim has used coaching to blend her diverse background in the realms of corporate, military, non-profit, government, educational, and small business cultures.

Kim spent years filling her resume with diverse educational and vocational experiences, including military officer training, a BS in Applied Mathematics, as well as a BFA in Interior and Environmental Design. She added yoga teacher training, meditation training, energy healing work, human development studies, ancient wisdom studies, and ontological coaching in her pursuit of more holistic education.

Through coaching, mentoring, speaking, writing, and workshops, Kim helps individuals and groups cultivate the resilience and integrated relational work needed to meet today’s challenges. She is the author of her annual Sacred Nights of Winter journal and facilitator of the Solace program for women.

As a mother of two teenage boys, whom she enrolled in a Waldorf school in hopes of giving them a more alternative, soulful education from the start, she was inspired to expand her teachings and mentorship to include young adults. Her history as a “divergent oddball” offers her first-hand experience and understanding of the challenges young adults face moving into a world that expects conformity and adherence to the status quo.

Kim resides in Boulder, CO, and enjoys hiking, spending time with her sons, or reading a great book that expands the psyche. Learn more at bridgethegapyear.com.

Full BIO: A Life and Leadership Mentor, Raluca Kannan is co-founder of Parzival Academy, a unique gap year program for young adults bridging the gap between school and adulthood. Trained as an Ontological Coach with Newfield Network, Raluca helps clients connect to their purpose, enabling freedom and authenticity.

Raluca was born and raised in Romania, where her education left her longing for a different way of learning. As a result, she became passionate about alternative education. Once her family moved to the US, she enrolled her children at a Waldorf school, which she found a perfect blend of educating the mind and developing the soul while taking care of each one's individuality.

For fifteen years, Raluca was in a corporate leadership position demanding 60+ hours per week and extensive travel. It left her feeling empty, so she took a sabbatical and reconnected with her passions: holistic learning and family life. Soon after, she started her ontological coaching training, an approach about restoring the coherence between body, emotions, and language.

She studied Anthroposophy, the foundation for Waldorf education, for three years. Then, out of a passion for learning and teaching, she started coaching young adults in their journey and realized they mostly wanted to see how they belong and how they connect meaning to their work. She continues to pursue her passion at Parzival Academy. Learn more at bridgethegapyear.com.
